1985

Valro is established by Valerie and Roger Link.

Early 1990’s

Our R&D work finds a better way to fasten waterproofing membrane with induction technology and special coated plate fasteners. Initial prototypes and tests.

1995-7

1st generation hand-held tool with our magnetic cooling clamp – a world first! Demonstrated globally.

1998

First public exhibition in Germany of our new fastening system. Approved for use with HT Trocal PVC membrane (later to become Sika-Trocal). First full-scale roof installation on new UK supermarket.

1999

2nd generation hand-held tool and accessories – private label. Exhibitions and roofing projects in USA and Europe.

2000

We develop a plate for induction bonding to EPDM membrane – another world first!

2001-2002

Establish our own brand: Centrix electro-bonding system. Develop and test a variety of radical new tool concepts and technologies to help shape future products.

2003

Centrix electro-bonding system – our 3rd generation hand-held tool and accessories sold internationally. Long track record of diverse projects in UK, Europe, North America and Russia.
